Product Specialist


We are looking for a seasoned Product Specialist to join the team at Clutch. You will lead how we communicate our products and work tirelessly to find the perfect fit and application of the Clutch product suite tailored to dealer and OEM prospect needs.

You should be empathetic and deeply understand your customer and end user, be a great story teller, have technical know-how, and exhibit a polished ability to position a product in a direct sales capacity. In this role, you will liaise with the Clutch Sales leads. You will be the Product lead for how we demo and position the right product to address our dealer and OEM’s varied needs.

What You'll Do

  • You will be the master storyteller and simply get how each product applies to a given prospect.
  • You will work closely with Product Managers and ensure our product demos and sales materials effortlessly express the value a Clutch product may bring to the varied needs of a dealer or OEM.
  • Working alongside sales leads, you will verify and tailor our product story.
  • Participate in active sales meetings either remotely or in-person as the Product expert, delivering demos and answering direct questions from prospects.
  • Be a team player, seek feedback, and influence the right decisions.
  • Be a champion of Clutch’s products and sales team outwardly and a voice of the customer internally.
  • Become an expert on current dealer workflows, competitive offerings to Clutch, and how the Clutch product suite may evolve to meet the future needs of our customers.

Must Haves

  • 3+ years in a Product Specialist/Sales Engineer role with direct experience positioning technical products with active sales leads.
  • You should understand what an MVP is, how to communicate what functionality exists today, and aptly position future functionality to come.
  • Expert ability to communicate. You should be able to shift from product positioning in a direct sales environment to providing first-line product feedback internally with Clutch’s Product Managers.
  • Enthusiasm for rapid change in a startup environment.

Nice to Haves

  • Direct SAAS sales background.
  • Product management experience in a startup environment.
  • Experience with enterprise / B2B software.
  • Automotive experience.
